Daily Summary:

Sunday, August 10: DiscoverAQ/FRAPPE Fly-Day
Day 26 of DiscoverAQ/FRAPPE. NASA P3, B200, and Falcon flying. Mostly clear and hazy in the morning; convection over mountains, shallow Cu over the plains around midday. In the afternoon, a cloud deck asociated with tstorms over the Foothills spread over the urban corridor with cloud base height initially at 6 km AGL, then lowering to 2.5 km AGL. TOPAZ data were collected from 0813 to 1638 MDT. Ozone mixing ratios increased from about 40 ppbv near the surface in the morning into the 60s ppbv around midday and remained nearly unchanged throughout the afternoon. A layer of elevated ozone was observed around 1900 m AGL during the morning hours.
