NOAA CSL hosts data for these measurement platforms:
- NOAA Twin Otter
- NOAA ARL Air Resources Car (ARC)
Data Download
- Data organized by flight then data ID
- Only ICARTT file format files (.ict) available
- Alternate view available for data organized by submission date
- Password protected if not on internal network
Data Submission
- Data for all platforms is submitted online
- Accessible through "Submit Data" button on Data page
- Lidar data (in netCDF format) handled separately
- Checks ICARTT file format and automatically submits to archive
- Aim to submit preliminary data within 24 hours of each flight or drive day
Data Format Requirements
- In-situ measurements should use the ICARTT file format
- Refer to the ICARTT Data Format description
- Filenames should follow this naming convention: DataID_PlatformID_YYYYMMDD_R#[_L#].ict
- Assistance will be provided to troubleshoot ICARTT formatting issues
- Data times should use UTC
- Flight and drive data should be aligned to reference time wave
- NOAA Twin Otter: Align to AircraftData time wave
Data IDs
Each ICARTT filename should begin with one of these data IDs:
- NOAA Twin Otter
- BAQMS-AircraftData
- BAQMS-ARL-Suite
- BAQMS-NOxCaRD
- BAQMS-jNO2
- BAQMS-PFPVOC
- BAQMS-EthaneTLDAS
- BAQMS-FastCH4
- NOAA ARL ARC
Platform IDs
Each ICARTT filename should reference these platform IDs:
- NOAA Twin Otter
- TwinOtter e.g. BAQMS-jNO2_TwinOtter_20250701_RA.ict
- NOAA ARL ARC
- ARC e.g. BAQMS-ARL-Suite_ARC_20250701_RA.ict
