Sunday, May 29: CABOTS IOP1
Day 1 of CABOTS IOP 1 observations. TOPAZ data were taken from 09:18 - 17:58 PDT. Hot (35 C), moderately hazy, convection over the Sierra. The boundary layer (BL) increased from about 500 m to 1700 m AGL. BL ozone increased from the 40s ppbv in the morning to about 75-80 ppbv in the afternoon. Ozone aloft was rather uniform, ranging in magnitude from about 55 to 70 ppbv.
