Daily Summary:

Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day): CABOTS IOP1
Day 2 of CABOTS IOP 1 observations. TOPAZ data were taken from 08:52 - 18:02 PDT. Hot (36 C), moderately hazy, convection over the Sierra. The boundary layer (BL) increased from about 300 m to 1000 m AGL. BL ozone increased from around 30 ppbv in the morning to about 80 ppbv in the late afternoon. The residual layer contained approx. 70 ppbv of ozone. A thin layer of enhanced ozone (up to 75-80 ppbv) and aerosol was observed around 2000 m AGL.
