Background: As the Administrative Officer, first for the NOAA Aeronomy Laboratory and later the Chemical Sciences Division of the Earth System Research Laboratory, Deb has, for 25 years, been the key focal point for all those who are/were members of those organizations. In this capacity, she has made a sustained and cumulative contribution that is absolutely vital to the functioning and success of the Chemical Sciences Division. The year 2008 brought extraordinary demands related to a major reorganization of the Chemical Sciences Division program areas and the execution of two major field missions in the Arctic.
