The major research interests of Meng Li are emissions, multiphase chemistry, atmospheric modeling and top-down evaluations. Meng has been working on the development of "MIX" anthropogenic emission inventory and the VOC speciation framework over Asia. Meng is now working on quantifying and evaluating the NOx emissions at a regional scale using satellite observations, and improvement of WRF-Chem performance based on multiple techniques.
