I am interested in measurements of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to understand their contribution to urban air quality issues. Thus far my research at NOAA has consisted of collecting whole air samples (WAS) to make measurements of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are analyzed via custom gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS). I collected these samples over the summer of 2023 aboard the NASA DC-8 research aircraft during the AEROMMA field campaign.
