Research

The major research of Dr. Pichugina focuses on remote-sensing of the boundary layer and applications of Doppler lidar measurements to study dynamic atmospheric processes including turbulence, low-level jets, and wind turbine wake effect. During the past decade, her research has emphasized applications of Doppler lidar measurements for validation and improvement of numerical weather prediction (NWP) model forecasts in complex terrain and offshore.
