Daily Summary:

May 29. Wednesday. A few Cumulus clouds with cloud bases around 1700 m AGL, otherwise clear. Some haze in the valley. Light upslope flow from the E/NE, which most likely brought urban air to the Angel Peak site. In situ CO values of around 150 ppbv measured in the early afternoon corroborate that. Over the course of the afternoon, CO values slowly decreased to 133 ppbv, while surface O3 values gradually rose from 61 to 72 ppbv. Lidar data was collected from 1350 to 1740 PDT. The lidar data show not much structure with O3 values in the 60 - 70 ppbv range.
Note: These preliminary data are noisy near the top of the curtain plot and exhibit a slight low bias in the early afternoon due to the solar background. The two white "blobs" above about 1700 m are due to cloud interference.
