Daily Summary:

June 4. Tuesday. Haze in valley, otherwise clear skies with a few Cumulus clouds developing over the east slopes of the Spring Mountains. Light upslope winds out of the E, then switching to the SE in the early afternoon. Very clean conditions at Angel Peak in the morning. In situ sensors were measuring 48 and 100 ppbv of ozone and CO, respectively. At around 1100 PDT the growing boundary layer reached the site, bringing with it slightly dirtier air (55 - 60 ppbv O3, 110 - 120 ppbv CO). TOPAZ was operated from 0900 to 1700 PDT. The TOPAZ data show uniform vertical distribution of ozone and a diurnal variation similar to the in situ O3sensor.
Note: These preliminary data are noisy above 2.5 km AGL and exhibit a low bias around noon and in the early afternoon due to the solar background. Vertical stripes of high ozone in late afternoon are due to cloud interference.
