Early AM on July 27 RHB sailed a track just north of Cape ANN towards the NH coast. The reverse track put RHB just off the tip of Cape Anne about 10:00 AM, local. After launching an ozone sonde the ship turned SSE and encountered a series of small ship plumes. About 11:00 AM local the ship encountered a large power plant plume, which took three hours to traverse. The plume was clearly aged with clear ozone, SO2, NOY, and sulfate signals. After exiting the plume, several attempts were made to sample the plume from RHB before heading back to the Isles of Shoals for an intercomparison with the insitu and long path instruments located there.
