AMSR-E/Aqua 89 MHz sea ice images
View daily images of Arctic sea ice. Data are provided by the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder. The 89 MHz horizontal/vertical brightness temperature retrievals show the location and movement of multi-year sea ice, indicated by low values. The horizontal/vertical brightness temperature difference plots show the location of all types of sea ice with areas of partially or completely open water, indicated by high values.
